British Airways

At British Airways, we take huge pride in our past – but we’re looking to the future as an airline that loves embracing the best of modern Britain. Our country’s creativity, diversity, style, wit and warmth are the same special qualities that make us who we are.

Our Apprenticeships appeal to the adventurous. The spirited individuals who fully intend on earning while getting a head start in their careers. You needn’t know everything about the world, or even be well-travelled – just curious, mindful and open to new experiences. That kind of confidence will take you a long way, and will only improve with the life lessons, industry qualifications and long-term opportunities we’re offering you. We have a number of apprenticeship opportunities spanning across Business, Customer Service and Operations & Engineering

British Airways has been an amazing place to start my career. As an apprentice, I’ve had the chance to work on real projects and learn from experienced professionals, which has helped me build confidence and practical skills. It’s not always easy, things can get busy and challenging, but that’s part of what makes it rewarding. I’ve appreciated the support from my team and the opportunities to grow in a professional environment.

Gaining experience and knowledge I’ll carry into my future career

I’m on the Business Professional Apprenticeship at British Airways and have loved it so far. In my first year, I worked across three departments, from head office to operations, gaining experience and knowledge I’ll carry into my future career

I’ve gained hands-on experience across rotations like composite repairs and testing

As an Aircraft Workshop Apprentice at British Airways, I’ve gained hands-on experience across rotations like composite repairs and testing. Learning from a skilled, supportive team has helped me grow both professionally and personally.

Even travelling abroad for key projects

My Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship at British Airways has been amazing. I’ve gained hands-on experience on long- and short-haul aircraft, even travelling abroad for key projects. It’s helped me build skills, confidence, and knowledge for my future career.
I am on the Business Professional Apprenticeship scheme at British Airways and have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. During my 1st year I had the opportunity to work in three different departments around the business, these ranged from head office roles to operational; there was a huge range to choose from. I think this apprenticeship is such an amazing opportunity to gain experience and exposure to the different teams that work within British Airways and has allowed me to gain valuable knowledge which I will carry with me into my future.
